The SERVE.experience is an eight-month discipleship program intended to stimulate personal, spiritual, relational growth as students learn to love and serve the Triune God and other people.

Academic studies, retreats, community service, and cultural experiences combine to strengthen biblical-theological foundations and develop awareness, understanding, skills, and Christ-like attitudes for the complex challenges of being and serving as a disciple and of making disciples in urban and cross-cultural contexts in a life lived on mission.

The SERVE.experience is a stand-alone program but is also the first year of the Intercultural Studies (ICS) degrees. Therefore, the objectives for the SERVE.experience have the ICS degrees in mind. Graduates of an ICS degree, desiring to be a cross-cultural missionary, are characterized by growth in self-awareness leading to Christ-like wholeness, and in cultural awareness leading to wise missiology.
