Athletics

Athletics at Heritage is a great way to stay healthy and active while trying to balance everything new that comes with College and Seminary. Whether it is hitting the treadmill after a long day in classes, participating in organized sports, or coming out to intramurals, Heritage offers many opportunities to stay active throughout the semester. Our facilities include a full-size gym with a cushioned hardwood floor and a well-equipped fitness center.

Team Sports

Heritage offers a variety of organized sports teams each year. Options may include basketball, volleyball, hockey, soccer, etc. Signing up for these teams takes place in September, and if needed tryout dates will follow.

Actual sports that we are involved in each year depends on student interest and league availability. Currently, we try to be involved in several local leagues, as well as participate in some organized tournaments each year.

For more information, please contact DJ Mudde, Dean of Student Services, at dmudde@heritagecs.edu.

Intramurals

Intramurals are for both College & Seminary students. The Athletics Chair on Student Council organizes these events, and they take place every Tuesday & Thursday evenings at 9:30 pm. Intramurals are a time where all skill levels are welcome! Even if you don’t feel like playing, it is always fun to come out and cheer from the bleachers. Some of the activities may include ball hockey, dodgeball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, basketball, soccer, and more!

For more information or suggestions on new intramural opportunities, please contact the Dean of Student Services.

Special Events

We have various athletics special events throughout the year such as students vs faculty/staff and other tournaments. Students will be notified about these special events that they can participate in. Some past events have included ball hockey, volleyball, and softball. Who knows what it may be in the upcoming year!
